A little ogre progress

Ok.. Ok I admit it i’m a slacker. Well maybe I need to be more specific. I have been very busy in the past too many weeks, and in a lot of ways the majority of it has been hobby related. But, not so much modeling/painting. Come on in and I’ll show you my progress…

First of all, having secret projects that just absorbs your time like a sponge just sucks. By the fact that it is a secret project means your not supposed to talk about it and that leads people to believe you were a total slack ass. And yeah I guess I missed my motivational challenge goals in January, and as I look at it I only missed them due to not posting pictures. I had 9 ogres with full command at a three color minimum.
I got a chance a week ago to snap some photos of my ogres, bases, and trays. And I am very happy with my progress this far. I may just back off on my no wash policy to get a little more result for smaller blocks of time. I need to realize that when it comes to 40 hob-gnoblars painting in very watered down layers will kill me. Besides if I can get a decent quality now who says I can’t keep working on the models down the line. Ogres and catsBases and TraysYehtee and ogre

So this is my current progress.  There is a second unit of 9 ogres that look exactly the same just the gut plates are still untouched.

And today I have made quite a bit more progress that I haven’t gotten to put a camera on.  I primed the three dogs and four Yehtee, made, primed, painted and flocked the three dog bases.  As well as built up, and flocked the four Yehtee bases, two more ogre bases.  Plus I’ve started in with liquid green stuff on the Ironblaster.

And as I recently ordered my half case from Tablewar, I hope to get a group photo of the bases laid out on the table war tray and just a group shot of the ogres and friends together.
