I’m well aware that this one came out a while ago – six years now – but I just got my hands on it at Adepticon.  I used to read a lot of books pretty quickly, in breaks at work etc., but my interest in reading had flagged until I picked this one up.  For me at least, this kind of book is Important.  The basic framework of the story of the Horus Heresy has been around for a long time, but now we get the juicy, lovely details. One of the podcasts I listen to on a regular basis is The Independent Characters. I really enjoy the cast and Carl, Geoff and Zach are all great guys in person. On several occasions over the life of their podcast, they’ve mentioned that one of the best ways to appreciate a Con is by volunteering at it.
